According to Reuters, we learned that Baidu’s Apollo Service 10 self-driving vehicles are being deployed in a technology park developed by the Beijing Municipality.
In December 2022, Baidu officially announced that it has received the license to test a fully autonomous car. Now, this company has managed to operate robotic and driver less taxi services in 3 Chinese cities, including Wuhan and Chongqing.
In these vehicles made by these two companies, it has proven its safety to some extent that no person or safety operator is even present in the driver’s seat.
On the other hand, Pony.ai, which is operating around the world with the support of Toyota Motors, announced in a separate statement that it had received a similar license in Beijing. The company currently operates a robotic taxi service in Guangzhou.
