Lil Durk, the rap artist and performer at Lollapalooza 2022 at Grant Park, Chicago, was injured when pyrotechnics went off in front of him.

Durk posted a photo of himself on Instagram where his eye is bandaged.

After being blown, Durk stopped rapping and used his shirt to wipe his eyes.

“Woah, Woah, you alright, bro? It shot straight up,” his DJ is heard saying, referring to the smoke.

“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health,” he said in the post. “I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all.”

We are still waiting on a response from Lollapalooza regarding this issue.

The singer has more dates set for September and October. Lollapalooza continued its Chicago show for its last day, featuring Green Day and J-Hope as headliners.

The accident that went viral on different social media platforms shows Lil Durk walking onto the stage ahead of getting hit in the face with two smoke pillars. He then protects his face with his T-shirt, and the music goes off.

Following a short moment of silence, Durk replied, “F—k it, no more smoke, let’s do it,” ahead of continuing his performance.

The “Bloody Valentine” singer went on stage sporting a pink leather biker jacket and sang hits from his studio album in 2020, Tickets to My Downfall, and his most recent release, Mainstream Sellout.
