Jawid Safi, whose real name is Javad Safaee, retired from the Afghanistan cricket team on January 12, 2021 due to a physical problem in his wrist.

Also, in his last interview with Aftab Afghanistan, he said that after leaving the cricket team, he will continue his music career, which he started at the age of 15.
